PHASE 1

Before you even think about applying

Strategic decisions to make before you gather a single document. They affect your visa, your taxes, your children's school, and your daily life in Spain.

Confirm your income source and amount qualify

B2B contracts or employment with non-Spanish companies. Min. €2,850/month gross (2026). Variable income, Stripe or Wise payments need a specific documentation strategy — not just bank statements.

Decide: consulate (1yr) vs UGE from Spain (3yr) — very different routes

UGE requires arriving fully prepared, tourist visa in hand. Choosing the wrong route can cost you 2 extra years on your first permit.

Think about your arrival date — it has tax implications

183 days in Spain = tax resident. Arriving after July 2nd may mean you are not a tax resident in your first calendar year. One day, significant financial difference.

What people say after going through this process

"We were moving with two kids and my biggest concern was school and whether my wife would be able to work in Spain. Sefy didn't just handle the visa — at no point did we feel alone in the process."

J.L. & family · Digital Nomad Visa ✓

"We were convinced they were going to reject us. Our case was complex and the UGE is very strict. Sefy understood exactly how to frame the case — and not only were we approved, the process was far smoother than we expected."

Who made this

Hi, I'm Sefy — and I know this bureaucracy from the inside.

I'm Spanish, and I've spent years helping freelancers, remote employees, and families obtain their residency in Spain. I've seen firsthand that the difference between an approval and a rejection isn't the client's profile — it's how the file is presented.

This checklist is where I start with every single client. It's yours, free.
